Granny Mallory

A belated tribute to sweet Granny Maureen Mallory, who passed away on October 22, 2009 after a long battle against cancer and missing her true love Roy for over 10 years. It was sad to say goodbye but we are happy that she is in a better place now.

Thanksgiving with the Guerreros

The whole Guerrero/Mallory clan all gathered together at Steph's house for a big feast... Davey and I made 10 lbs of mashed potatoes, but only maybe 1/3 of them were eaten. These people are crazy! Who doesn't eat mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving??? but whatever...i'm adjusting...

Here are my lovely "sisters" and cousin and I during the feast

You can't quite see it in this picture, but by the end of the night my shirt (and parts of my hair) were covered in food. . Luckily, i really couldn't see most of it so i didn't care too much-- Thank you belly.

This is cousin Sidney/ Squid/ whatever you want to call her. She really loves it when Davey does things like this to her, or messes up her comb over hair style... :)

I started this little game, and everyone actually joined in! I think someone slipped something into our bubbly drinks because we were a bit silly by the end of the meal...

Never a dull moment with the Guerreros... Hopefully we will see them all soon! Josh gets home from his mission in February, just in time for a baby blessing...

November Madness

SOOO much seemed to happen in the month of November, and it flew by completely! Sorry to all those who thought i was dead... school has kept both Davey and I REALLY busy this semester and its hard to find much time to do anything. Our schedules are basically school and work from 8am-7pm, then we finally get to come home, make some sort of dinner, do some homework until we're exhaustedm, and try to make it to bed before 1am.

First of all, a shout out to Davey's fabulous Intermural football team that made it to the semi-finals this year! They did a great job and played in rain and snow, with some really dumb Referees at times...

Isn't his outfit super cool??

Something you didn't know about Megan: she can play the sitar. yes, like those funny little middle eastern string guitars... This semester at last minute I joined my sis in law Chelsey in the most random little class learning middle eastern instruments. My teacher is a complete hippie who really wears sunglasses during class, at 8pm at night. Yep. crazy. So here is a photo of our fabulous recital in the BYU ballroom.
oh, p.s. there were only like, 5 of us in this class...

Here's a great shot of my saggy maternity jeans and belly as Davey and I worked on winterizing our freezing little insulation-less house :)

After Thanksgiving, Davey set off with Spencer, Dave (Dad), and their uncle/cousin (?) Craig up to Idaho Falls to do some duck hunting....whoop. They had a good time even though it was freeeeezing and both Davey and Spence got a duck! But i told Davey he wasn't allowed to bring it home...

Meanwhile, I spent some time with the Guerrero Girls, shopping and what not, and got to see this hot young thing (Janae Lynn Newell) and met her stud Zach (who i completely approve of, and not just because he bribed me with delicious Indian food). As can be expected, i laughed harder that night than i have in a while, which really hurt my tummy but was so worth it!

Last but not least, we finished off the BYU football season with a great game against the Utah! OH and did you hear that we won? By 3? after going into overtime? And it was AMAZING??!!!

Davey was pretty excited... He and buddy Coltt ran out on the field with half the stadium and had fun smashing into people and yelling and all those other things boys like to do...

Here is a special moment from the game, when davey stuffed a large piece of cotton candy in my face, and because i had gloves on i didn't want to pull it out so i had to sit there and wait until he would . Thanks, honey...

That was November in a nutshell, minus Thanksgiving of course... see that in another post!
